Website Terms

These Website Terms govern the relationship between the Publisher and the User in respect of the Service. They are effective from first access and are current as at 2026.

the Terms This document, as amended from time to time under section 3.

1. Acceptance

Access to the Service constitutes acceptance of the Terms. No further act is required. A User who does not accept the Terms must cease using the Service. Acceptance is not conditional on the creation of any account.

2. Capacity

The User warrants being of full legal age in the jurisdiction of residence and competent to enter into a binding agreement. Where the User acts for a company or firm, the User warrants authority to bind that entity. The Service is not directed at minors.

3. Variation

The Publisher may vary the Terms. The operative version is the version published at scamavoiding.com. Continued use after publication of a varied text constitutes acceptance of that text. The User is responsible for consulting the published version before relying on any provision.

4. Permitted Use

The User may read the Service, print single copies for personal reference, and link to any page. Short extracts may be quoted where the extract is proportionate, is attributed to ScamAvoiding, and, online, carries a working link to the source page on scamavoiding.com. Any wider reproduction requires written consent obtained from contact@scamavoiding.com.

5. Prohibited Use

The following are prohibited. Automated crawling, scraping or harvesting of Content other than by a general purpose search engine acting under the published robots file. Extraction of any substantial part of the compiled listings. Republication on a mirror, aggregator or syndication network. Use of Content as training, evaluation or reference material for a machine learning system. Removal of any authorship credit or copyright mark. Framing the Service so as to misrepresent its origin. Any attempt to obtain unauthorised access to the infrastructure of scamavoiding.com.

6. Accounts

The Service operates no public account system. No registration is offered and none is required. Any administrative credential issued to a contributor is personal, non transferable and revocable at will by the Publisher. A contributor is responsible for the confidentiality of that credential and must report any suspected compromise to contact@scamavoiding.com without delay.

7. Content Status as Opinion

Every review, warning and investigation published on the Service is the honest opinion of the Publisher on the material available at the time of writing. Comment and inference are stated as such. Nothing published asserts that any Subject has been convicted of an offence unless a judgment or regulatory decision is cited expressly.

8. Sources

Opinions are formed on public registers of authorised firms, published regulator warning lists, court and insolvency filings, domain and hosting records, the promotional material of the Subject, and accounts transmitted by members of the public. Where a factual assertion is made, its source is indicated or is available on request to contact@scamavoiding.com. The absence of a Subject from the Service is not an endorsement of that Subject.

9. Corrections and Reply

Any named Subject may exercise a right of reply. The reply is sent to contact@scamavoiding.com, identifies the page and the passage in dispute, and states the alleged error with reasons. Established factual errors are corrected and a dated correction note is appended. Where the dispute concerns opinion, a fair summary of the position advanced may be published alongside the article. A bare demand for removal that identifies no error is filed without amendment.

10. No Advice

The Service does not provide legal, financial, tax or investment advice. No lawyer and client relationship arises from reading the Service or from writing to the Publisher. Content published in 2026 may be superseded by later events. Independent professional advice must be obtained before any decision is taken in reliance on Content.

11. Referrals to Independent Advisers

Where a User expressly requests an introduction, the Publisher may transmit a summary of the enquiry to one Adviser. The Adviser is a separate undertaking. It is not an agent, partner, subsidiary or employee of the Publisher, and the Publisher does not supervise or direct its professional work. Any engagement is concluded between the User and the Adviser on the terms of the Adviser and subject to the professional rules binding it. The Publisher gives no warranty as to the outcome of any procedure and accepts no responsibility for the acts or omissions of any Adviser. ScamAvoiding makes no representation that any regulator or authority will act on a report.

12. Third Party Links

The Service contains links to external resources, including regulator registers, court records and press reporting. Those resources are outside the control of the Publisher. Inclusion of a link is neither an endorsement nor a warranty as to accuracy or availability. The User follows any external link at the risk of the User.

13. Availability and Interruption

The Service is supplied on an as available basis. No warranty is given of uninterrupted access. The Publisher may suspend, withdraw or restrict all or part of scamavoiding.com without notice for maintenance, security or editorial reasons. The Publisher is not liable for any loss arising from unavailability.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, all warranties, conditions and terms implied by statute or common law are excluded. The Publisher does not warrant that Content is complete, current or free of error, nor that the Service is free of malicious code. Content is supplied for general information and editorial purposes only.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Publisher is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated saving or loss of data, however arising. The aggregate liability of the Publisher in respect of all claims connected with the Service is limited to one hundred units of the currency of the jurisdiction stated in section 18. Nothing in this section excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Indemnity

The User indemnifies the Publisher against all claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs arising from breach of the Terms by the User, from any Submission that is false or that infringes the rights of another person, and from any use of the Service in contravention of section 5.

17. Suspension, Termination and Notices

The Publisher may block access from any address and may refuse correspondence from any person who breaches the Terms. Termination does not affect accrued rights. Sections 4, 5, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16 and 18 survive termination. Notices to the Publisher are given by email to contact@scamavoiding.com and take effect on acknowledgement. Notices to the User are given to the address last supplied and take effect on transmission. The Publisher may assign or transfer the benefit of the Terms to any successor in the business of the Service. The User may not assign without written consent.

18. Severability, Waiver, Governing Law and Jurisdiction

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it is severed and the remaining provisions continue in full force. Failure or delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it, and a single waiver does not waive any later breach. The Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of them, whether contractual or otherwise, are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which the Publisher is established. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction. Questions on any provision may be addressed to contact@scamavoiding.com.
